PROJECT: FAILING FLESH's KEVIN Comments On Recording Sessions With DECEASED

December 3, 2004

PROJECT: FAILING FLESH member Kevin 131 has issued an update from his Assembly Line Studios regarding his production/engineering work with fellow Virginia metallers DECEASED. Commented Kevin: "The tracking for 'And The Weird Travel On' is done! It has been killer working with the guys from DECEASED. Especially since we all grew up together and I literally had not seen or talked to King (Fowley, vocals) or Mark (Adams, guitars) for over 15 years. Literally. We all got back into contact again shortly after King had his stroke. Now, he is back near 100 percent and he certainly keeps the sessions moving and entertaining. He is full of energy and keeps us laughing and motivated the whole time. All the while, he knows we have to move fast on the 'indie budget' and it's my job to keep us to the best quality we can get, and make sure things are sounding right. They can play fast and blurry, and then get more traditional, and then move into odd sections, so the main goal was to keep them sounding heavy and brutal, but not too polished. I think they will kill me if I put on any Swedish or modern metal bands to reference to while we are tracking! I love that stuff, but the guys would have my head on a plate and send it to Wacken if we mixed to make them sound like that (laughs). So I know what direction NOT to go in! So far things are on the right track and sounding cool. We'll be mixing this month and it's due in early 2005. When this record is done, I get back to PROJECT: FAILING FLESH to do some tracking for our next record 'The Conjoined'. Writing is done. Tim and I finished guitars and drums months ago and once we lay down the bass and keys we hope to get Eric over to the States shortly after to add his vox."
